I just wanted to stretch when I wandered into my first yoga class in a gym.  Walked in when I was 23 and walked out before the class ended, true story; I hated it.  Two years later I went to a different class at a yoga studio and this time it stuck.  The timing of things happen when you’re ready and I was ready.  I was also tired of being tired; I suffered from insomnia and anxiety my entire life.  I wasn’t even seeking help for what ailed me and yet I received it.  My insomnia and anxiety slowly began to melt away and I am currently asymptomatic; I also wasn’t concerned with stretching anymore.  

I solely took Bikram style or 26 & 2 classes at the time but formed a friendship with Annette Scott. That coupled with my own curiosity brought me to the 200-hour teacher training with her in 2013.  I quickly was exposed to all types of yoga, got to know myself in ways I never had and discovered breathing is the most important aspect.  In teacher training I didn’t learn how to be a teacher but how to be a better person. I also discovered there is yoga for every body and the type of yoga you practice may change over time.   I love teaching flow classes as there are so many ways to be creative with your body through the breath.  I get excited when new students enter the room, there’s so many things to learn and so many ways to grow.  I’m honored to be the one assisting them through this terrain.
